This is a simple, yet beautiful rendition of the Easter anthem from the primary children's songbook, available in two different keys for Children's Chorus (F (high note E) or D (high note C#)) and SAB Chorus. This arrangement emphasizes and repeats the glorious message of this song: that Jesus broke the chains and death and has risen! As featured in Minister Through Music Primary – Episode 11.

You haven't heard “Joy to the World” like this before! Dan Forrest reaches into his Irish traditional music experience to pair the well-known carol with a newly composed Irish slide, and the result is an explosion of joy that you simply must hear to believe! With piano four-hands, optional Irish traditional ensemble, and/or full orchestra.
Available separately:
SATB • SSAA • TTBB
Irish Traditional Ensemble includes D Whistle (or Piccolo), Fiddle (Violin), Guitar, Bodhran (or Hand Drum), Bass (upright or electric), and Accordion (or Concertina).
Full Orchestra includes the ensemble parts above and 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, 2 Bassoons; 2-4 Horns, 2 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, Tuba, Percussion, Timpani, and Strings.
Accompaniment CD for Joy to the World (Piano four-hands and full Irish traditional ensemble).
Piano Part, optimized for fewer page turns in performance. Removal of choral staves, letter-size paper, and layout with page turns in mind all make for an easier performance experience for the two pianists.

The third movement of Craig Courtney’s trilogy, Divine Encounter, The Blessing is a newly-composed benediction based on Numbers 6:24-26. As Jesus blessed and multiplied the fish and bread, so God blesses the offering we bring to Him. The melody, which is one large-scale arc, is stated twice, creating a simple, sincere message of peace and rest. Suitable for use on its own, or as part of the three-movement work; effective in both worship and concert settings.

The first movement of Craig Courtney’s trilogy, Divine Encounter, is a song in which God invites us to receive His bounty. The first verse of Isaiah 55 is expressed as a celebration rather than the meditative, lyric manner found in most settings. In contrast, the setting of the sixth verse is regal, earnest and authoritative and the architecture of the movement is built upon the contrast between these two styles. Suitable for use on its own, or as part of the three-movement work; effective in both worship and concert settings.

This tender and comforting work is a “passing of peace” as its simple yet elegant melody washes over the listener, gently unfolding its text with increasing texture:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives; do not be afraid.”
The Hebrew word shalom forms the refrains, and whispers of the word “peace” further paint the spirit and promise of the text. Written as a way to share peace to one another during the Covid-19 pandemic and racial injustices of 2020, this piece is equally at home in worship or concert settings.
