Father Thunder (Male Voices)

Description

Father Thunder is based on a series of Latvian folksongs and original music by Laura Jekabsone. The piece was originally written for the mixed choir “Maska” for the international competition “Eurovision Choir 2019” in Gothenburg, Sweden. The composition includes various types of body percussion, vividly depicting rain and thunderstorms. Laura Jekabsone has arranged the work for male voices following numerous requests from choirs around the world.
