Description
A long-standing tradition in the Murray City School District was music instruction by William F. Robinson. Mr. Robinson was made the music supervisor of the Murray City School District in 1907. During the early years of his teaching career, he would walk from one end of the district to another, making the rounds to each of the schools. He was known as “Murray's' Music Man” and the “Father of Christmas Caroling ” in the Murray Community.
Each year, just before Christmas, this jolly man would travel to each school, accompanied by the high school orchestra and conduct Christmas carols as part of a Christmas assembly program.
